Mildred Mim Marie Trabing, age 80, of Mitchell, SD died Thursday June 16, 2005 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene, with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Mildred Marie Easton, daughter of Charles G. and Lela Marie (Naser) Easton, was born April 26, 1925 in Hanson County, SD. She grew up in Hanson County and attended Plano Consolidated School. Mildred was united in marriage with Earl Trabing on July 1, 1943 in Luverne, MN. The couple farmed in Hanson County and for a short time they farmed near Gann Valley, SD. They returned to Hanson County and continued to farm. Earl died on January 28, 1969 and Mildred continued to farm and raise their children. In the mid 1970s, she began working at Schmucker Paul and Nohr. Mildred moved into Fulton in 1982. She retired from Schmucker Paul and Nohr in 1990. In her retirement, Mildred cared for her mother and grandchildren. She was a member of Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene, Extension Club and a past 4-H leader. In her spare time, Mildred enjoyed genealogy, photography, gardening, sewing and her family. Grateful for having shared her life are her five children, Esther Dianne Sand and her husband, Sam, Brooklyn Park, MN, Judith Marie Cheeseman and her husband, Donnie, Fulton, SD, Roberta Erlene Johnson and her husband, Bradley, Hill City, SD, Barbara Jo Connett and her husband, David, Northville, MI, Rodney Earl Trabing and his special friend, Angela Weisenberg, Rapid City, SD; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Easton and his wife, Rachel, Lebanon, OR; two sisters, Maxine Schmucker and her husband, Bernie, Mitchell, SD, Norma Cunningham and her husband, Glenn, Mitchell, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Charles Chuck Easton and Wayne Bud Easton. A memorial fund has been established in Mildred Trabings name.
