Melvin Mosemann, 87, formally of White Lake, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Aventara Norton in Sioux Falls.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Will Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will begin an hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in White Lake.

Melvin was born February 15, 1933 in rural White Lake to John and Esther (Bradwisch) Mosemann.  Melvin began farming at an early age and farmed most of his life.  He joined the Army and after returning he married Sylvia Neugebauer; to this union four children were born.

Melvin was a skilled craftsman, even building the family house.  He was capable of repairing farm equipment and welding.  Although Melvin was not a great cook; he made the best peanut clusters at Christmas time, a treat enjoyed by the entire family.  Melvin loved spending time with his grandchildren and attended more than one tea party with his granddaughters.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Russell Mosemann, Lori (Danny) Krome, Brian Mosemann, Wendy Mosemann, four grandchildren, Jessica (Cody) Collier, Lukas Krome, Jakob (Ally) Krome, Rachel Krome, two great grandchildren, Robert Collier and Wyatt Collier.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Louise Bogenhagen, Evelyn Mosemann, Emma Derby, brothers, Robert and Lewis Mosemann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
