Mary Lou Nation age 81 of Morrison, Ill., formerly of Mitchell died peacefully September 6, 2011 at Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison, Ill. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Saturday September 24, 2011 at the Will Funeral Chapel followed by a private family committal service at Graceland Cemetery. Mary Lou, daughter of Marion and Mabel (York) Haines, was born May 15, 1930 in Mitchell, SD. She graduated from Mitchell High School. She married Donald Kurtenbach and later she married John Nation, who preceded her in death on March of 2009. She worked for several years at Jim's Liquor and for 25 years at Hardee's until her retirement. Mary Lou had a quick wit, enjoyed her grandchildren and was especially fond of her caregivers at Four Seasons Living Center. Mary Lou will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by four daughters, Sonia (David) Schroeder, Morrison, IL, Sharon (Ken) Swanson, Morrison, IL, Susan Kurtenbach, Mitchell, SD, Shanna (Dean) Weiss, Mitchell, SD; a son, Scott of Rock Falls, IL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a brother, John (Jinks) Haines, Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews in Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her family wishes to convey heartfelt thanks to caregivers at Four Seasons Living Center where she lived comfortably for the last 2 ½ years. She was loved and adored by staff like family and enjoyed a happy, safe, and comfortable home under their attentive care. Memorials may be directed to Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison, IL.
