Mary Comp, age 85, of Mitchell, died August 30 at the Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with Eastern Star Rites at 7 PM. Mary was born on December 10, 1918 at Plankinton, SD to Jacob and Ada (Mortimer) Fett. She graduated from Hopper Consolidated School in 1936. She married Sam Comp August 14, 1937, at Mitchell. Mary played golf, was active in Eastern Star and held many offices. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Church Women. She is survived by her children: Dennis Comp and wife, Nancy of Mitchell and Marilyn Reyelts and husband, Lynn, Aurora, CO; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Sam and two brothers.
