Mary Allen age 93, of Mitchell, SD died Friday, February 28, 2020 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. A private funeral will be held at her request.

Mary (Martin) Allen, daughter of Jake and Elizabeth (Peters) Martin, was born August 15, 1926 in Mitchell, SD.  She grew up and attended school in White Lake, SD.  Mary was united in marriage with Glen Allen on July 20, 1946 in St. Paul, MN.  She was employed at a nursing home in Rapid City and also convenience store in Rapid City.

Mary loved to dance and considered herself the jitterbug champion.

Grateful for having shared her life are her four children, Jayne (Mike) Bastedo, Watertown, CT, Pat Allen, Gillette, WY, Mary "Cissy" (Jim) Pullen, Chamberlain, SD, Becky (Steve) Everets, Rapid City, SD; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Allen; three brothers and two sisters.

She will be deeply missed.
