Marvis Miller, 95, of Mitchell, SD passed away on Saturday March 24, 2024 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:30 prayer service and time of sharing on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Marvis was born May 31, 1928 to Henry and Ella (Spies) Budde. She attended country school until the 8th grade. She later attended beauty school in Sioux City. Marvis moved to Mitchell when she was 17 years old. She met Gordon Miller at a dance and they were married April 15, 1949. The couple raised four children together. Gordon passed away in 1989.

Marvis was an avid walker, until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved being in the outdoors, mowing the lawn and tending to her flowers. Marvis was an excellent cook and her grandchildren loved her banana bread. She lived in the same house in Mitchell for 69 years, until her health started declining. Marvis enjoyed doing puzzles and was known as the puzzle queen at Brady Health and Rehab.

Marvis was quiet but expressed her love and kindness through action. She was active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Ronald (Tanda) Miller, Allen (Kandis) Miller, Cynthia (Randy) Seppala, grandchildren; Ross (Tara) Miller, Adam (Andrea) Miller, Jason (Melissa) Seppala, Jeremy (Stephanie) Seppala, Jennifer (Adam) Dressing, Brandee (Andy) Lindsay, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mark Miller, and sister, Doris Budde.
