Marie Robbennolt, 86, of Mitchell, formerly of Ethan, died July 6, 2006 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ethan. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday at Will Funeral Chapel with a scripture reading at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Marie was born February 4, 1920, in Comfrey, Minnesota to Frank and Kathryn (Schumacher) Schwerzler. She grew up in Comfrey and graduated from Comfrey High School. She went to work in Chicago where she met and married Arthur Joseph Joe Robbennolt on April 13, 1940. They moved to Delmont, SD in 1944 while Joe was in the Army. When he returned they established a Heating and Ventilation Business in Delmont until he became employed for Swansons Plumbing and Heating in Mitchell. Marie moved to Ethan in 1996 and was a member of Holy Trinity church. In 2001, she moved to Wesley Acres and from there to Firesteel Healthcare Center in 2002. She is survived by her eight children: Jan and husband, Robert Fitzgerald, Ethan, SD, Arthur William Bill Robbennolt, Agar, SD, Tom Robbennolt and wife, Pam, Denver, CO, Jola Robbennolt-McKenzie and husband Patrick, Wassila, AK, Scott Robbennolt, Sioux Falls, Kevin Robbennolt and wife Kim, Sioux Falls, Kathy and husband, Brad Croucher, Mitchell, SD, and Gregory Mitchell Mitch Robbennolt, Sioux Falls; twenty-two grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two soon to be arrivals; two brothers, Eugene Schwerzler, Gresham, Oregon, Jim Schwerzler, DesMoines, IA, four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 1982; her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one great granddaughter.
