Marie Meinke, 88, of Mitchell passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Firesteel Health Care.  A private family graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery.

Marie was born March 3, 1933 in Mitchell, SD to Dave and Edith (Tietz) Hohbach.  She completed high school and worked various jobs though out her lifetime, including K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed her co-workers from K-Mart. Marie also liked reading and gardening, red geraniums were her favorite. She truly loved caring for others, and her family.  She was a kind and loving mother and friend.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Sherry (Ed) Russell, Randy (Kaye) Meinke, Craig (Nancy) Meinke, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wallace, daughter, Karin Johnson, three brothers, Evan Hohbach, Lyle Hohbach and Don Hohbach.
