Marian L. Young age 85, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Firesteel Healthcare Community. Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Marian Louise Young was born June 30, 1931 to Frank and Mildred (Pochart) Weber in Hanson County, SD. She attended grade school and high school in Farmer, SD, Albany OR and San Francisco, CA. She returned to South Dakota and graduated from the South Dakota Beauty Academy in Sioux Falls.

She married Robert Young in Mitchell on October 23, 1953 and lived their entire life in Mitchell where she owned her own salon in her home. Marian enjoyed going to Sturgis which began going in 1950!. She enjoyed camping with the family at Sturgis and last went in 2001. Marion was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell.

Grateful for sharing her life are her son Robert Young, Jr. and wife Desiree of Henderson, NV and daughter Mary Louise De Loof and husband Steve of Brandon, SD; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister Marlys Volz of Reno, NV.

She is preceded in death by her husband in 2002; parents; two brothers Robert and Donald Weber and sister Helen Beyer.
