Marian T. Klunder age 91, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 28, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD with burial at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, November 28, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Marian (Muller) Klunder, daughter of Paul and Laura (Hoffman) Muller, was born February 4, 1934 the 10th child of 11 children on the family farm south of Roswell, SD. She attended Burbank Consolidated School.

Marian was united in marriage with Wesley Klunder on March 24, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canova, SD. The couple farmed in the Howard, Spencer, Dimock and Delmont areas until 1970. Later they moved to Dimock where her husband had a trucking business for 27 years. During that time, Marian did house cleaning in private homes in Mitchell and Parkston. In 1999 the couple moved to Mitchell.

After her husband's death, Marian became a member of RSVP and volunteered for several years at Longfellow Elementary, John Paul II, and also the summer lunch program.

Marian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Grateful for having shared her life are her five children, Judy Heisinger, Dimock, SD, Cindy (Donnie) Juhnke, Sioux Falls, SD, Tom (Jan) Klunder, Mitchell, SD, Nick Klunder, Scottsdale, AZ, Patty (Jerry) Thury, Mitchell, SD; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Klunder on 4/29/2002; her parents; a grandson, Patrick Heisinger; a son-in-law, Tim Heisinger; four sisters, Loretta Muller, Lucille Rustan, Gertrude Stainbrook and Letha Corrigan; six brothers, Howard Muller, Walter Muller, Lewis Muller, Ben Muller Maurice Muller and Gerald Muller.
