Margaret Peggy Metz, age 58, of Mitchell died February 1, 2005 at her home under hospice care. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday at Will Funeral Chapel. Peggy Metz, daughter of Mike Tischler and Juliana Boehmer was born February 16, 1946 in Parkston, SD. She grew up in Parkston and attended school in the Parkston area. As a young girl she moved with her family to Mitchell, SD. Peggy worked at numerous cafes in Mitchell. Peggy was united in marriage with Jim Metz on October 10, 1964 in Mitchell, SD. Peggy worked at Modern Cleaners for 10 years. She was later employed at the Alcohol and Drug Center in Mitchell for 10 years. Recently Peggy was employed at the I-90 Caf and then at Marlins. She was forced to quit working do to illness. Grateful for having shared her life are her two children, Tammy Metz and her special friend, John Horn, Mitchell, SD, Tony Metz, Plankinton, SD; one grandchild, Nikole Weeks, Mitchell, SD; two brothers, James Tischler, Los Cruces, NM, Donny Tischler and his fiance, Marge Anderson, Mitchell, SD; two sisters, Pat Kobald and her husband, Fred, Mitchell, SD, Janet Metz and her husband, Jim, Mitchell, SD; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and infant daughter; one nephew and one niece. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Peggy's name.
