Margaret M. (Hohn) Bick, age 83, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, June 7, 2012 at First Lutheran Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Margaret M. Hohn, daughter of William and Clara (Baldwin) Hohn, was born March 20, 1929 in Chamberlain, SD. Margaret lived in the Dimock area and moved with her family as a young child to Mitchell. Margaret came from a family of 11 children, seven brothers and four sisters. She attended school at Notre Dame, after schooling she worked at Armour Creamery during World War II. On April 4, 1947 she was united in marriage with Delton Bick in Mitchell, SD and from that marriage four children were born, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The couple briefly farmed in Plano area for a short time before moving back to Mitchell. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose first priority was her family and their needs. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing in earlier years and making candy. Grateful to have shared in her life are her four children; a daughter, Linda (Chuck) Oster , Mitchell, and their four children Rebecca (Adam) DeHaan, Lakeville, MN and their children Jacob and Isabella; Chris (Kelli) Oster, Omaha, NE and their son Bostin; Melinda Oster, Austin, TX and Heather Oster, Mitchell; a son, Ronald (Renee) Bick, Lochbuie, CO; a daughter, Louise (Kevin) Thurman, Mitchell and their children Jessica Thurman, Sioux Falls, Ashley Thurman and Jon Thurman, both of Mitchell; a daughter, Colleen (Tim) Helling, Mt Vernon, SD and their children Sarah Helling, Mitchell, SD, Jason (Jackie) Helling, Omaha, NE; her sister, Sylvia Miiller, Mitchell, SD; sisters-in-laws, Glenda Hohn, Glyde Bick, Jean Hohn and Laurel Bick and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, October 24, 1998, her parents, six brothers; Andy, Robert, Matthew, William "Bill", Frank, Jerome "Bud", two sisters Celestine "Sal" and Caroline Sigmund.
