Margaret Barber 83 of Mitchell died Monday, at her home. Memorial services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, December 28, at the First United Methodist Church of Mitchell. Burial will follow in the White Lake Public Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Margaret was born February 13, 1921 in Mitchell to Thomas and Pauline (Nurnberger) Wilson. She attended school in White Lake and graduated from Patterson High School. She then attended St. Josephs nursing school. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in 1964 from Dakota Wesleyan University. In 1971 she received her masters degree from SDSU. She worked as an RN and director at the Methodist School of Nursing and was still licensed and practicing at the time of her death. She was married to Ray Barber for 54 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by: son Gary and wife Mary of Katy TX. Son Bill and wife Jayleene Houston TX. daughter Mary Crider and husband Walter Bakersfield CA. Nephew John Wilson of Hot Springs SD. Grandchildren Kristin Viola of Chicago IL., Laurel Jackson of MS; Jenna, Corey, and Evan Houston TX.; and Rebekah Crider of Bakersfield CA and Michael Crider of Vienna, Austria. One great-grandchild, Mary Claire Jackson of MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Tommy Wilson.
