M arcene was born December 5, 1922 in Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Madeline (Johnson) Eberhard. She graduated form Mitchell High School, attended Dakota Wesleyan University and St. Joseph College of Nursing.

She married Robert Usher on August 31, 1947 in Mitchell. She and her husband owned and operated the Credit Bureau from 1963-1981. Marcene was a member of the United Methodist Church for 82 years and past member of the Eastern Star. Marcene enjoyed playing the piano, singing, dancing, reading, quilting and spending time with family and friends.

Grateful for sharing her life are her one daughter Jan (Curtis) Peterson, Fairport, NY; a son Bob (Betty) Usher, Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren Nick (Rhonda Dunlap) Peterson and Troy (Kara) Peterson; two great-grandchildren Wyatt and Cole Peterson; two sisters-in-law Connie Laird and Bonnie Eberhard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and two sisters.
