Obituary
MacKenzie Raye Degen, age 15 of Mitchell, died Friday, December 12, 2008 in Mitchell as the result of a vehicle accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene in Mitchell with Pastor Bill Parks offiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 -8 PM Tuesday at the church with prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.
MacKenzie was born on August 27, 1993 in Mitchell, SD to Carey Degen. MacKenzie attended school in Mitchell and was currently a freshman at Mitchell Senior High School.
She is survived by her mother Carey, her grandmother Gayle Lanier, brothers David Degen of Tea, SD and Trent Walking Elk of McLaughlin, SD and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Ray Lanier and great-grandfather Leo "Bud" Degen.
