Obituary
Phyllis Porter, age 93, of Mitchell, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, April 30 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday April 29 at Will Funeral Chapel with prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.
M. Phyllis Porter was born on March 27, 1917 in Mitchell to E.H. and Kathryn (Slattery) Holscher. She attended Notre Dame High School and junior college. She married Maurice D. Porter on November 19, 1935 in Mitchell. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by 4 children. Dale and wife Karol Porter, Barbara and husband Larry Zimmerman, James and wife Nikki Porter, Robert and wife Sherri all of Mitchell, SD. 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Maurice, one brother James Holscher, and one grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and going to be directed to the Ronald McDonald House Childrens Charities.
