Louise Warner, age 92, of Woonsocket (formerly of Mitchell, SD) died Sunday May 23, 2004 at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center in Wessington Springs, SD. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 26, 2004 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Graceland Cemetey. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Louise Dunwoody was born March 12, 1912 in Alden Township, Hand County, SD to W. Fred and Susie (Steptoe) Dunwoody. She attended school in Ree Height, SD, graduating from Ree Heights High School. Louise came to Mitchell in 1930 to attend Business College. She was united in marriage with Clifford Walt Warner on December 24, 1935 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell where Louise worked as a legal secretary. When Walt began working in construction, Louise would travel with him and find employment as a secretary. She retired in 1972 for health reasons. The couple returned to Mitchell where they were living at the time of Walts death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mitchell, SD. Grateful for having shared her life are her five nieces, Shari Cox and her husband, Ben, Douglas, AZ, Trudy Moran and her husband, Dan, Madison, SD, Gloria Jenssen and her husband, Jerry, Woonsocket, SD, Shelly Schlicht, Woonsocket, SD, Jo Rombough and her husband, Ron, Hills City, SD; three nephews, Jake Schlicht and his wife, Jean, Lees Summit, MO, Doug Steele and his wife, Marge, Sioux Falls, SD, Stanley Steele and his wife, Trish, Tucson, AZ. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Walt; her parents; one brother, Harold; three sisters, Ruth Dunwoody, Lillian Steele, Dorothy Schlicht; two brother-in-laws; and a niece.
