Lorrine Esther Block age 87, formerly of Fulton, SD passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Salem Care and Rehab Center, Salem, SD. Visitation will be on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3 to 6 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Lorrine was born at Chamberlain, SD on July 30, 1931 to Fred and Lizzie (Kiehn) Block. She spent her early years growing up on the family farm near Fulton, SD. She enjoyed the farm life and helping with outside chores and the kitchen. In the 1960's she moved with her parents to Mitchell, SD. There for over 40 years she attended the Mitchell Area Adjustment Training Center, now Life Quest. She helped make small rugs, fishing lures, as well as being a kitchen worker. She participated in their Special Olympics program and was fond of traveling to other towns. She was always happy with her friends and family.

More recently she spent her retirement years under the care of the Salem Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Grateful for sharing her life are her nieces and nephews: Cindy (Royal) King Mitchell, SD, Rick (Kelly) Block Kissimmee, FL, Nancy (Steve) Tollefson Lincoln, NE, Dan (Janette) Block Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Lucille and her brother Francis.
