Lorraine Mary Allbee, age 84, of Mitchell died Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday October 8, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service followed by a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.

Lorraine Allbee, daughter of John and Anna (Bowar) Erpenbach, was born May 28, 1926 at her parents home in rural Ethan, SD. She was the nineth of ten children born to this family. She attended Tobin 18 Rural School and graduated from Ethan High School.

Lorraine was united in marriage with Robert Allbee on December 26, 1952 in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell. Lorraine was employed for many years for the Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The couple moved to Wyoming and then to Missouri. They returned to Wyoming before returning to Mitchell in 1976. While in Mitchell, Lorraine was employed by the City of Mitchell until her retirement in 1988.

Grateful for having shared her life are her two daughters, Lucinda Stricker and Becky Weier, both of Mitchell, SD; three granddaughters, Whitney Weier and Lexie Weier, both of Mitchell, Amy (Nick) Williams, Pierre, SD; a grandson, Kyle Weier, Mitchell, SD; four great grandsons, Alec, Aric, Nate and Noah Williams, all of Pierre, SD; three sisters, Angie McTighe and Marie Roth, both of Mitchell, Lillian Roth of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allbee; a grandson, Chase Weier; her parents; five brothers and a sister.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
