Lois M. Moller, age 84, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at First Reformed Church in Mitchell with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Lois Mae Moller, daughter of Clarence and Alice (Vreugdenhil) Bruinsma, was born on the family farm near Aurora Center, SD. She attended country school and graduated from Stickney High School. Lois then attended nursing training in Mitchell for a year.

She was united in marriage with Gilbert D. Moller on September 6, 1950 in Aurora Center, SD. Gil was in the service stationed in Alabama where the couple lived for a short time. After his discharge they moved to a farm south of Mt. Vernon and farmed there until 1976. Lois and Gil then made their home in Mitchell. While in Mitchell, Lois was a realtor for Mitchell Realty for several years.

Lois was a member of First Reformed Church in Mitchell and sang in the church choir. She also belonged to the Garden Club, Sweet Adelines Barbershop Chorus and the Embroidery Guild of America.

Grateful for having shared her life are her five children, Barry (Jean) Moller, Stickney, SD, LeAnne (Larry) Fosdick, Mitchell, SD, Pam (Larry) Goldammer, Billings, MT, Dan (Joann) Moller, Stickney, SD, Jean Marie (Duane) Schubauer, Black Hawk, SD; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Gil on November 19, 2004; her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Duane (Sylvia) Bruinsma.

Memorials may be directed to the First Reformed Church in Mitchell or Heart and Sole Cancer Walk.
