Lissa Kay Brown, age 63, of Mitchell, SD died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home under hospice care. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Mitchell First United Methodist Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Lissa Kay Brown, daughter of Orville and Floy (Andersen) Brown, was born August 8, 1954 in Mitchell SD.

She attended special ed classes at Longfellow School and LifeQuest until her death.

Lissa was a member of Mitchell First United Methodist Church.

Her enthusiasm for life and constant smile showed in her love for crafts, swimming, dancing, singing and listening to music.

Special Olympics was dear to her heart and earned her many medals and ribbons. She journeyed to Notre Dame for National Special Olympics, bringing home more medals to show off.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sisters, Pam Jansa and Vicki Brown; nieces and nephew, Doug Barth, Jennifer Fanning, Cassie Fennern, Tom Taylor, Nicky Dahm, Heather Taylor, Melissa Aughavin,  Stephen Brown, Amy Perry and Brian Brown; great nieces and nephews, Maxwell Fanning,  Xander Fennern, C ohen Fennern, Genevieve Fennern,  Ryleigh Taylor, Gavin Taylor, Katie Dahm, Jacob Dahm, Elizabeth Boyson, Dane Boyson, Liam Aughavin and Caeli Aughavin.

Lissa was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Floy Brown; brothers, Stephen, Craig and Merrit Brown; a niece, Jennifer Fanning.
