Lillian Thue age 90, of Mitchell died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Firesteel Health Care Center. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Monday April 18, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Serviceman's Columbarium in Mitchell.

Lillian was born in Kindred, ND on March 5, 1926 to Henry and Minnie (Evanson) Knutson. Lillian attended grade school and graduated from Kindred High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Harold Thue on June 14, 1944 in Kindred, ND.

Lillian lived at home with her parents as Harold joined the Army for two years until he returned home and they made their home in Kindred until 1953. They  moved to Missouri and later to Platte, SD., then moving to Mitchell in 1956 where they made their permanent home.

Lillian was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, First Lutheran Church where she was very active in the church. She enjoyed crossword, gardening, yard work, double solitaire and her grandchildren which were her pride and joy.

Grateful for sharing her life are her daughter Gail (Dennis) Boggs of Alexandria, SD; son James (Julie) Thue of Mitchell, SD; grand-daughters April (Marty) Steinberg of Yankton, SD, Trish (Michael) Ryherd of Corinth, TX and Brittany (Bryce) Horner of Rochester, MN; six great-grandchildren; sister Doreen (Leo) Grobe of Moorehead, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; son David; brothers Henry and Ossie Knutson and sisters Edna Knutson and Gladys Linder.
