Obituary

Lillian Synhorst, age 81, of Yuma, Arizona, formerly of Fulton, died Saturday, August 5, at the Yuma Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery. Lillian was born July 11, 1925, in Hanson County to Edward and Hattie (Sudberry) Kies. She was raised on a farm west of Alexandria and attended rural school, graduating from Alexandria High School in 1943. Following graduation, she married Dale Synhorst of White Lake. They farmed in Hanson County until retiring in 1983. In 1994, she made her home in Yuma, AZ until her death. She is survived by her three sons: Jim and wife, Jan of Pringle, SD; Dick and wife, Nancy of Homer, Alaska, Larry and wife, Sheri, Fulton, SD and one daughter, Pat and husband, John Muilenburg, Rapid City, SD; twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Wayne and wife, Kaye, of Pocatella, ID; four sisters: Donna and husband, Harold Adkins, Spearfish, SD, Lucene Carsten, Lead, SD, Mary Jo and husband, Wayne Bertrand, Scotland, SD and Barbara and husband, Forrest Conrad, Yankton, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Synhorst in 1988, a brother in infancy and her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in memory of Lil Synhorst.
