Lillian Jacobson, age 83, of Holmes, New York, formerly of Mitchell, died May 22. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 1 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Lillian was born March 14, 1923 on a farm in South Dakota to Steve and Edna (Serdahely) Jarabek. She married Raymond L. Jacobson on January 3, 1940 at Rock Rapids, Iowa. She spent most of her life in the Mitchell area spending winters in Arizona after retirement. Lillian and Ray owned and operated Rays Hatchery for many years. She loved to bowl, golf, fish and garden. She is survived by her son, Gary Jacobson and wife, Judi, of Arizona, daughter, Gloria Whyte and husband, John of New York, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Haines and husband, John, of Arizona and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Raymond Jacobson in 1985 and a sister, Emma Jacobson.
