Obituary

Leona A. Hall, age 84, of Mitchell, died April 14, at the home of her family near Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7 PM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Leona was born on July 16, 1922, at White Lake to Peter and Elsie (Messer) Hanten. She attended school in White Lake where she graduated from high school. She married Marion Hall on March 8, 1943, at White Lake. They lived in the White Lake area for many years and moved to Mitchell in the late 1960s. She was employed at the Red Owl Bakery for over twenty years. Leona enjoyed baking, watching television, reading, and visiting. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She is survived by her children: Mary Lee Fristad and husband, Eugene, Mt. Vernon; Elva Ann Engelhart and husband, Dennis, Puyallup, WA; Dennis Hall and wife, Mag, Lake Steven, WA; seven grandchildren: Pam Fristad, Mitchell; Monte Fristad, Mt. Vernon; Mark and Kimberly Engelhart, Aberdeen, WA; Jeff Engelhart, Puyallup, WA; and Justin, Tanya, and Shana Hall, all of Lake Stevens WA; and three great grandchildren, Matthew Fristad, Kiersten Engelhart, and Sydney Engelhart; brother, Ted Hanten, Albany, Oregon; sister, Adeline Puetz of Ethan; and two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Hanten, White Lake and Lorraine Hanten, Delmont. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1991, nine brothers, one sister and one great grandchild.
