Larry J. Webb, age 73, of Mitchell, died June 21, 2004, at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites. Larry was born January 24, 1931, at home in Mitchell, to Lawrence and Frances (Bielfeldt) Webb. He attended Longfellow elementary school and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1949. He worked construction on the overpass bridge in Mitchell. Larry married Clarice Holshire on January 27, 1952, at Mitchell. He entered the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He received his basic training at Camp Breckenridge, KY; was stationed at Fort Knox, KY and then served in Germany. After his discharge, he worked for Montgomery Wards; Jerrys Trim Shop, Quality Upholstery and worked for Meyers Body Shop until his retirement. He was a ham radio operator, enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Clarice, of Mitchell; and three brothers: Lloyd Webb and wife, Iris, Seattle, Washington; Darwin Webb and wife, Deniece, Alexandria, SD; and Del Webb and wife, Karen, Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
