LaVonne C. Titze Haiar, age 84, of Mitchell, SD died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Ronald McDonald House.

LaVonne, daughter of Karl and Clara (Walz) Moege, was born June 8, 1934 in rural Dimock, SD. She was baptized on July 1, 1934 and confirmed June 27, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Dimock, SD. LaVonne graduated from Parkston High School in 1952.

She was united in marriage with Norbert W. Titze on September 13, 1953. The couple farmed until 1976. From this marriage four children were born. LaVonne was a fulltime wife and mother until moving into Mitchell. While in Mitchell, she was employed at two super markets, Feinstein's and did monograming at Harve's Pro-Prints for 12 years. She was an avid seamstress and stitched many quilts.

LaVonne was then united in marriage with Lawrence S. Haiar on July 12, 2002. The couple continued to make their home in Mitchell.

LaVonne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Heartland Quilt Guild, a past 4-H leader and Sunday School Teacher.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Lawrence Haiar; three daughters, Kimberly Eman, Jane Cusson (deceased), Julie Whittington; a son, Fredrick Titze-Horton; ten step children, Steve, Deb, John, Joe, Becky, Peggy, Barb, Lisa, Kathy and Mike; many grandchildren and a great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norbert W. Titze in 1997; a daughter, Jane; her parents; a brother, Willard and a sister, Lillian.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell, the Ronald McDonald House, Hospice.
