Laura E. Bartunek, age 83 of Mitchell, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Tuesday February 21, 2006 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the ZCBJ Cemetery in Wagner. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 9:30 AM. She was born on March 5, 1922 at Carterville, Montana to Celos Orville and Ida Mildred (Chitwood) Dailey. She grew up and attended grade and high school in the Wagner area. On June 27, 1942, she married Robert Bartunek at Hartington, Nebraska and lived on a farm near Wagner, South Dakota. She is survived by her four children: Ronald Bartunek and wife Leah, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; Marlin Bartunek, Custer, South Dakota; Judy Lehi and husband Jim, Mitchell, South Dakota; Connie Martin and husband Owen, Colton, South Dakota and Paula (Wagner) Bartunek, Hawarden, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother and five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son Jerry, four sisters, Opal, Marie, Kathleen, and Dorothy.
