LaRue Hetland, age 75, of Fishers, IN, (formerly of Artesian, SD) died July 10, 2009. Graveside service will be 9:30 AM Wednesday at Servicemens Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

LaRue was born on October 21, 1933 to Elmer and Edna (Lucid) Hetland of Artesian, SD. LaRue served his country in the US Marine from 1954 to 1957. He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1960 and was a member of Beta Theta Pi. LaRue was in advertising management for Super 8 Motels for over 30 years. He co-owned a Super 8 in Glencoe, MN, for 21 years, where he was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

LaRue is survived by his wife Lorma Hetland; son Jim D.Hetland (Alice); daughters, Nancy B. Carbonaro (Ted) and Susan J. Rafferty (Pat) and three grandchildren.
