Obituary

Jerry Lambert Bialas, age 81, passed away June 17, 2019 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD from complications due to diabetes.   Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Dimock, SD with burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Lambert Bialas, son of Fritz and Hilda (Gerlach) Bialas, was born February 8, 1938 in Douglas County, SD.

Lambert married Lois Scheetz on April 9, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong farmer. He rented until 1969 when he purchased his farm in Dimock.

Lambert was a lifelong member of rural Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was baptized, confirmed, and married. Lambert was a member of the National Guard for three years. He enjoyed playing cards, the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, and high school and college athletics.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Lois and their children; Royce (special friend Marcia Smithey) Bialas, Stephanie (Sean) Moen, Melissa (Dan) Pflieger, Jarret (special friend Amy) Bialas, and Kip (Susan) Bialas; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Lorraine Hetland, Lawrence (Berneice) Bialas, Floyd (Ileen) Bialas, Willard (Sylvia) Bialas, DuWayne (Sandy) Bialas, JoAnn Seeman, Jean (Gerhardt) Buenning, Jim (Rosie) Bialas; and a host of other relatives.

Lambert was preceded in death by his son, Bradley; his parents; three brothers, Ivan, Harvey, and Larry.
