Obituary

Keith Feiner age 85, Mitchell (formerly of Ethan) died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Firesteel Healthcare Community under Avera hospice care. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Ethan, SD with military rites.

Keith Edward Feiner was born September 22, 1932 at Ethan, SD to Albert M. and Dorothy (Bauer) Feiner. He grew up in Ethan, playing sports, especially baseball, and working in his dad's cheese factory. He graduated from Ethan High School in 1950. He entered the US Army in 1952 and served eighteen months in Korea. After his discharge in 1954, he returned to Ethan and began driving truck for his brother, Fran.

He married Janice Boehmer on September 10, 1957 at Holy Family Church in Mitchell. He drove for Feiner Trucking for 34 years and then drove for Willers Trucking, Sioux Falls. He retired in 1995 after logging millions of miles over 40 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing and working in the yard.

He and Janice owned and operated Mitchell Gun Club for 25 years from 1968-1993. Keith was a lifetime member of the American Legion, where he served as Post, District and Area Vice-Commander. He was also a life member of the VFW and the SD Trapshooting Assn.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 60 years, Janice; two daughters, Lynne (Tim) Reuter of Dell Rapids and Diane Feiner of Sioux Falls, two sons, Mark (Hope) of Springdale, AR and Dan of Denver, CO; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Don (Pat) of Crystal Lake, IL, Chuck (Mary Sue) of Spencer, SD and David (Leona) of Mitchell and three sisters Mary Ann Wethor of Mitchell, Barb (Bob) Bogg of Arvada, CO and Carol Jean (Ed) Bowar of Sioux Falls, one sister-in-law, Twila Feiner of Salina, KS and one brother-in-law, Den McCrary of Brooklyn Park, MN.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deb, in 1990, his parents, three brothers, Bob, Fran and John, and one sister, Therese.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Trinity Cemetery, Inc
