IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Justin J.
Buck
September 25, 1980 – November 14, 2025
Justin Buck, 45, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Mitchell passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, also at the church. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at church.
Justin was born on September 25, 1980 in Mitchell, South Dakota. He graduated from Mitchell High School with the class of 1999 and later graduated with his Cardiac Ultrasound degree in 2011 in Sioux Falls.
He was an avid Manchester City supporter and took great joy in attending many of their matches during U.S. tours. He also loved the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or camping, he found peace and happiness in nature. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds on their deck at home. Justin has called Omaha home for many years where he has dedicated his talents as a Cardiovascular Sonographer at the Methodist Hospital.
On September 26, 2015, Justin was united in marriage to Rachel Hammond at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell, a day that began a beautiful chapter of love and partnership. They were blessed with daughters Caleigh and Daphne.
Justin was a devoted father, loving husband, cherished son and brother, and a loyal friend to many. His warm smile, patience, and genuine kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rachel of Omaha; daughters, Caleigh and Daphne of Omaha; parents, James and Debra Buck of Mitchell; grandmother, Geraldine Buck; brothers, Jesse (Elizabeth) Buck and their children, Dylan, Jacob, and Addi; Ryan (Fiancé Abby) Buck and son, Camden; sister, Stephanie Buck and her children, Caden, Paxton, and Evie; sisters-in-law, Roxanne Hammond and Jessica DeVries and her children, Greysen and Kinley; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence Buck and Don and Bernice Borman; and cousin, Chris Dykshorn.
