Junelda Jean Schmucker age 89, of Prescott, AZ died September 26, 2016 at Prescott, AZ. Funeral services will 7:00 PM Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden, IA around 3:00 PM on Saturday.

Junelda Jean Schmucker was born June 20, 1927 at Rapid City, SD to Earl and Zelma Schmucker. She graduated from High School at Rapid City Central. She attended National School of Business, then worked for Bell Telephone in Rapid City, SD and after moving to Arizona continued working at Southwest Bell until retiring at approximately age 55. Then she traveled, bought a motor home and took her mother places in it.

During her life she belonged to the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Telephone Pioneers of America from which she received the Timothy Award for volunteering. She was a long time member of the Prescott United Methodist Church. She also took care of her mother while she worked and during her retirement. She was a very kind and helpful person. The kind that if you needed a cough drop she didn't offer you a package she offered a drawer full.

Grateful for sharing her life are her bother Bernie (Maxine) Schmucker of Mitchell, SD; one niece, Jean Moulton of Watertown, SD; one nephew, Morris (Lori) Schmucker and a great nephew, Adam Schmucker, all of Folsom, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Zelma Schmucker.
