The Fanning family announces with great sadness and loss of their beloved mother, Judith Rose (Smittle) Fanning, age 83, on December 27, 2021. She died peacefully surrounded by family members James C. Fanning (married June 28, 1958) her children Rosanne Summerside, Teresa Fay, James (Lois) Fanning, and Jeannie (Charlie) Matteson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends throughout South Dakota and Wyoming.
