Joyce A. Pearson, age 70, of Mitchell died Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, January 4, at the Will Funeral Chapel. Joyce was born December 14, 1934 in Codington County, SD to Leo and Miriam (Carr) Page. She attended elementary school in Henry, SD and graduated from Watertown High School in 1952. She married Edward J. Olson on October 7, 1953, at Watertown. She worked as a secretary for the State of South Dakota in Pierre for several years. She received training in Pierre and became an LPN in 1981. She worked at the Beverly Healthcare in Pierre. Joyce married Bennett O. Pearson in 1981. She moved to Mitchell in 1987 and worked at Firesteel Healthcare, the Detox Center and as a private nurse until she retired in 1996. She is survived by three children: Charlotte Cope and husband, Lonnie, Artesian; Mike Olson, of Pierre, and Mary Finke and husband, Richard of Council Bluffs, Iowa; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; four brothers, Glen Page and wife, Loraine, Seattle, Washington; Virgil Page and wife, Donna, Colton, SD; Gene Page, Watertown and Bill Page, Rapid City; three sisters, Carol Monteith, Brookings; and Donna Mae Arbogast and Leone Olson and husband, Earl all of Watertown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1977; husband, Bennett in 1984, and a brother, Vern (Buddy) Page.
