John L. Pollreisz was born on April 13, 1954, at Mitchell to Arthur and Helen (Weber) Pollreisz. He attended Rosedale #4 through the eighth grade and graduated from Ethan high school in 1972. After graduation he resided in Ethan, SD. He served in the US Army South Dakota National Guard 665 Maintenance unit for six years. He worked for Ethan Agland Co-op for twenty years and had been employed with Dakota Acres for the last nine years. His favorite past time was hunting, fishing and especially archery. John is survived by his parents and seven brothers and sisters: Tom and Arley Pollreisz, Leonard and Marcella Pollreisz, of Mitchell; Ken and Pam Pollreisz, Ethan; JoAnn and Greg Kappenman, Rapid City; Donna and Doug Haas, Pat and Connie Pollreisz, and Bonnie Pollreisz, all of Mitchell, sixteen nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Julia Pollreisz and Joseph and Josephine Weber.
