Obituary
Joe Hull age 69, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Tom Young Community Center in Mt. Vernon, SD. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Joe was born on March 1, 1940 in Mitchell to John and Annabel (Zard) Hull. He grew up and received his schooling in Mt.Vernon and graduated from Mt.Vernon High School, after high school the then attended Yankton College. He moved back to Mt.Vernon and owned the Mustang Caf for many years. Joe managed the Mt.Vernon Farmers Elevator for a period of time and then returned to the caf business and drove school bus for Mt.Vernon High School. Joe was a loyal fan and supporter to Mt.Vernon athletics and enjoyed hunting and baseball.
Grateful for sharing his life are his niece Heidi and husband Shannon Skovlund of Crooks, SD; nephew Craig Runestad of Crooks, SD and great nieces Tara Runestad, Skylar and Maggie Skovlund.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Peggy (Hull) Runestad.
