Joan C. Mardian-Schauer, 81, passed away on April 1, 2021, at the Rapid City Monument Health Hospice House. A graveside service will be at 11:30 AM Saturday, May 8,2021 in Graceland Cemetery.

Joan was born on December 29, 1939 to Charles and Minnie Docktor in Ypsilanti, ND. She married Kenneth Schauer on April 30, 1957 in Jamestown, ND.
Joan worked at Landstrom Jewelry for many years. After retiring, she enjoyed living independently, drinking coffee, and reading.

Happy to have shared her life are her son Allan (Tena) Schauer, son Randy (Sheri) Schauer, and daughter Lisa (Marv) Kusiek; grandchildren, Allan Jr, Sadie, Josh (Danica), Matt, Jesse (Holly), Adam, Michael, Sabrina, Christie, and Jeremy; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ken, mother and father, brothers and sisters, grandchild Amber, grandchild Philip, and great-grandchild Madsen.
