Jennell Schoenfelder age 87, of Mitchell, died Tuesday December 2, 2008 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery .

Jennell Rose Schoenfelder was born on February 21, 1921 in Davison County to Phillip and Rose Muth. Jennell attended school in the Ethan area until the 10 ^th grade. On January 13, 1942 she married Anthony (Jim) Schoenfelder and they made their home in the Ethan area. Jennell and Jim farmed for several years before moving to Mt.Vernon in 1970. Jennell worked at the Mitchell Holiday Inn as a housekeeper until the age of 70 after over 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with grandchildren, family, and friends. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon . She was also a cancer survivor.

Grateful for sharing her life are her children, Maryann Suhr and husband Don of Ray, ND, Norman Schoenfelder and wife Carol of Mitchell, SD, Gloria Grooms of Dayton,OH, Patricia Eimers and husband Rich of Madison, SD, Randy Schoenfelder and wife Nancy of Ethan, SD, Gary Schoenfelder and wife Lori of Mitchell, SD, Alvin Schoenfelder and wife Trish of Denver, CO, Sandy Long and husband Jerry of Mitchell, SD, Diane Morgan and husband Lyle of Mt. Vernon, SD, Mike Schoenfelder and wife Yvonne of Mitchell, SD and Ronnie Schoenfelder and wife Rayma of Aberdeen, SD; 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; two brothers Martin Muth of Wolsey, SD and Joe Muth and wife Donna of Bismarck, ND; one sister Dorothy Novak of Little Rock, AR.

Proceeded in death by her parents, husband Jim in 2001, son Robert and two brothers, Everett and Lloyd.
