Jeninel D. Hartman, age 55, of Mitchell, SD died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church with burial at 1:00 PM Saturday at Greenhill Cemetery, Alexandria, SD. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Jeninel D. Hartman was born January 18, 1956 in Chester, CA to Donald and Marisue (Caskey) Thurman. She attended school in Aberdeen, Mobridge, and Stickney, SD.

Jeninel was united in marriage with Paul Kaus on April 14, 1973 in Stickney, SD. They had two children, Dawn and Chris.

She was later united in marriage with Tim Hartman on August 6, 2006 on the shore of Lake Okoboji, IA. Jeninel had a career in sales and was employed at Prairie Market, Stroud Insurance and L&D Insurance as an agent.

Jeninel enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading, rummaging, fishing, playing cards, quilting, sewing and spending quality time with her many friends and family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Tim Hartman, Mitchell, SD; a daughter, Dawn (Kaus) Judd and her husband, Jeremy, Wichita, KS; a son, Chris Kaus and his wife, Sherri, Pierre, SD; a step-daughter, Natasha Hartman and her fianc, Tom Bannwarth, Mitchell, SD; a step-son, Nick Hartman and his wife, Connie, Cheyenne, WY; three granddaughters, Nikki, Natasha and Naudia; four sisters, Shari Haux and her husband, Fred, Helena, MT, Jill Stewart, Aberdeen, SD, Karla Hohneke and her husband, Stan, Lakeville, MN, Tracey Rock, Albuquerque, NM; special friends Rose Anderson, Marilyn Castillo, Candace George and Dennis Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Matthew Rock.
