Jeffrey Alan Dahl 50, of Colorado Springs, Colorado died Sunday March 1, 2015 at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. Funeral Services will be held at Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell, SD, Friday April 3rd at 11:00 AM. Jeff will be laid to rest at the Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery where a committal service with Military Honors will take place. Jeff was born in Brookings, S.D. September 26, 1964 to Vernon and Ione (Hanson) Dahl. He grew up on their farm and attended school in Estelline, SD and graduated from Willow Lake High School. Following high school he played drums for the Willow Creek band, Wooden Nickel band, and several bands during his travels with the military. Shortly after high school Jeff enlisted in the military at the age of twenty, serving in a number of operations overseas including Operation Desert Storm. After twenty-two and a half years in the Army, he retired as a Sergeant First Class. Jeff is survived by his two children: Ryan Dahl of Greeley, CO and Kara Dahl of Colorado Springs, CO. His former spouse Sherri Dahl of Colorado Springs, CO. Two sisters Julie Squires (Lee) of Clear Lake, Kristi Dahl of Sioux Falls, Two brothers David Dahl of Brookings, Mike Dahl (Rhonda) of Estelline, along with several nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ione Dahl, and sister Janice Selken.
