Jeffrey "Jeff" Dise, age 62, of Woonsocket, SD died Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Jeff Dise, son of William and Mary Ann (Carlson) Dise, was born November 7, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in Minneapolis and attended school there. Jeff graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, MN in 1972 following this he attended college for a year.

In 1973, Jeff began his career with the BNSF Railroad in Minneapolis, MN. He was united in marriage with Susan Giles on November 12, 1977 in Elko, MN. The couple made their home in Minneapolis for five years. In 1983 the couple moved to Woonsocket, SD and Jeff continued working for the railroad. The couple moved to a farm near Woonsocket in 1986. He was a track inspector for the railroad and completed 40 years of service with the BNSF Railroad. Jeff retired in November of 2013.

Jeff enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, reading, shooting pool and life on the farm.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Susan Dise, Woonsocket, SD; three children, Josef Nels Dise, Woonsocket, SD, Emily Sue Dise, Letcher, SD, Fredric (Tanya) Dise, Letcher, SD; eight grandchildren, Mason, Miles and Lily Dise, all of Woonsocket, SD, Elliana and Emerson Kisor, both of Letcher, SD, Hank Van Dover, Letcher, SD, John and Laina Dise, both of Letcher, SD; his mother, Mary Ann (Jim) Bove, Morris, MN; a brother, Paul (Dee) Dise, San Diego, CA; seven sisters, Sue (Ron) Westrich, St. Cloud, MN, Rose (Buster) Altman, Maple Grove, MN, Joan (Ray) Eastlack, Anchorage, AK, Marge (Tom) Schneider, Crystal, MN, Liz (Pete) Luipakka, Wayzata, MN, Lois (Pat) Wissbaum, Minneapolis, MN, Theresa (Doug) Wilhelm, Clear Lake, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Dise; three brothers, John, Eric and Kevin.
