Jeanette Pooley age 61, of Alcester (formerly of Mitchell) died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Sanford Hospital Canton-Inwood, Canton, SD. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2012 at New Home Lutheran Church, Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Jeanette Irene Pooley was born on May 12, 1950 to Parker James (PJ) and Hilda Irene (Hansen) Pooley in Mitchell. She was baptized on July 22, 1950 at New Home Lutheran Church. She grew up in Mitchell and was home schooled by her mother. She attended Mitchell Area Adjustment Training Center (now LifeQuest) in Mitchell. She loved the Monkees, the Beatles and Johnny Cash. Her favorite TV shows I Love Lucy and the Andy Griffith Show. She is survived by a brother, Mel and his wife Karen, Mitchell; sister-in-law, Elaine Pooley, Mitchell; half-sister, Alva Walton, DesMoines IA; half-sister-in-law, Beverly Pooley, Mitchell; nephews, Dave Pooley of New Hope, MN; Don Pooley, Mitchell and niece Kim Pooley Nedved, Littleton CO. Great-nieces & nephews, Jillian, Cole & Madison Nedved of Littleton, Landon & Samantha Pooley of Mitchell and Grant Pooley of New Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dwight, half-sisters, Eva, LaVera and Doris; half-brothers, LeRoy, Dale, Raymond, Eldon, Ellsworth, and Marvin. The family prefers memorials to the New Home Lutheran Cemetery, Mitchell or the charity of your choice.
