Jeanette Hohbach, 83, of Mitchell, died August 12, 2005 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Graveside services were held at 11:00AM Monday, August 15 at the American Legion Cemetery under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. She was born May 6, 1922 to James and Mary Quest McIlvoy in Pierre, SD. She attended elementary school in Salem and later graduated from Mitchell high school. She entered the US Army and served at Ft. Riley, Kansas. She married Gale Johnson in 1949. She later married John M. Hohbach on January 16, 1958 in Luverne, Minnesota. They made their home in Mitchell and worked various businesses in Mitchell. She is survived by a stepson, Stephen Hohbach, Morley, Michigan, stepdaughter, Elaine VanWinkle and husband, Boyd of Huron; four step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1982, and her parents.
