Jean Ann Wibben, 52, of Mitchell, SD died September 25, 2012 at Doughtery Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell, SD. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Spencer, SD. Jean Ann Wibben, daughter of John R. (Bob) and Rita V. Mowry, was born October 2, 1959 in Mitchell, SD. She lived with her family in rural Alexandria until moving to rural Epiphany in 1966. Jean attended Catholic School in Epiphany through the early 1970's when the school was closed and merged with Canova. Jean graduated from Canova High School in 1977 and then attended college at Dakota State College in Madison earning her assoc. degree in Early Childhood Development. Jean was united in marriage to Patrick Joseph Wibben on June 20, 1981 at Holy Three Kings Catholic Church in Epiphany. The couple made their home in Spencer until 1994 when they moved to their current home in Mitchell. Jean was employed by Doctors Business Services in Mitchell for 25 years and was most currently employed at Dollar Loans in Mitchell. In Jean's spare time she enjoyed bowling, reading and spending time with family and friends. Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Pat; her two children, John Patrick Wibben and Elise Marie Wibben both of Mitchell and the family dog, Riley. Jean is also survived by six brothers; Mel (Beve) Mowry, Alexandria; Dale (Debbie) Mowry, Fargo, ND; Roger Mowry, TX; Monte (Nancy) Mowry, Owatonna, MN; Tom (Denise) Mowry, Virginia Beach, VA and Marvin Mowry, Alexandria; three sisters; Elaine (Mike) Mentele, Fulton; Karen (Kevin) Twedt, Spencer and Mary (Todd) Boettger, Owatonna, MN; Sister-in-law Deb Mowry, Rock Rapids, IA. Mother-in-law Marian Wibben, Ipswich; Brother-in-law Jerry Wibben, AZ; Sister-in-laws Cathy Jorgenson, Ipswich; Peg (Dave) Bloomquist, Stewartville, MN and Lori Gardner, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Rita; Father, Bob; Brother, Ron; Father-in-law, Elmer B. (Bud) Wibben and Brother-in-laws, Tim Wibben and David Wibben in infancy.
