Jean Lambrecht, 87, of Mitchell passed away October 9, 2022 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 6:30 prayer service on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Servicemen's cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Holy Family Church.

Jean Ann Lambrecht was born April 13, 1935 to Charles and Marie (Deters) Hunt in Bridgewater, SD. She graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1953.  Jean attended Presentation School of Nursing College in Aberdeen, SD and received her degree in nursing in 1956; becoming a Registered Nurse.

On October 22, 1960 Jean married Tom Lambrecht at St. Stephens Church in Bridgewater.  She worked as a nurse at Mabee Clinic for four years before continuing her nursing career at St. Joseph/Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.  Jean retired from the hospital in 1995 after 30 years of care giving service.

Jean was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Moose Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and the Holy Family Altar Society.  Jean was a member of a retired nurses group "The Lunch Bunch" that enjoyed Friday gatherings at local restaurants to visit and provide spiritual support.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Mark Lambrecht, Mike (Kim) Lambrecht, grandson, Brennan Lambrecht, brothers, James (Gerry) Hunt, Larry (Nona) Hunt, sister, Frances McGuire as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant son.
