Janice Ross passed away on October 6, 2019 at Firesteel Nursing Home in Mitchell, SD. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be Thursday October 10 at 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Janice Marlene Ross was born in Aurora County on October 5, 1936 to John and Lenora (Erickson) Dilges. She attended country school and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1954. She married Donald Ross on June 6 1954.

Jan enjoyed camping, touring the Black Hills, and the mountains on their annual vacations when the kids were younger. Later in the years she enjoyed lunches with friends and their weekly Sunday services and fellowships.

Janice is survived by her husband of 65 years; Bryan (Mary) Ross of Glidden, IA; Kelly (Paul) Bormann of Chamberlain, SD; brother, Gary (Char) Dilges; four grandchildren, Jamie (Brian) Morgan, Brett (Kristin) Ross, Lindsay (Brandon) Weber, Brittany Ross and three great grandchildren, Chase Morgan, Harrison Weber, and one on the way.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, and Sister in Law,  Diane Dilges
