Janice (Jan) Johnson age 65, of Mitchell died June 15, 2013 at her home under hospice care. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until time of service. Father Larry Regynski officiating. She was born October 7, 1947 in Mitchell to Robert and Donna Bollack Fritschen. She moved to Illinois and married Richard Chronister on August 6, 1966 at Elgin. She worked for the Fox Valley Mfg., Motorola TV, Capsonic and a small box factory. In 1973 they moved back to Mitchell. She worked for Herter's until the business closed. From 1979 to 1986 she worked for McLeod's Printing. She moved to Minnesota for a short time and worked for a candy company. She then moved back to Mitchell from 1988 to 1996 and was employed with Mitchell Mfg. and retired in 1996. On July 16, 1993 she married Tom Johnson and they made their home in rural Mt. Vernon until a fire took their home on June 11, 2010 and moved to Mitchell. She is survived by her husband; one daughter Pam Burdick and husband Kent of Mitchell; two step daughters Carrie Roth of Mitchell and Stacy Johnson of Mitchell; two grandsons Chaz Robertson and Tanner Pereboom of Mitchell; two step grandchildren Ethan and Chase Roth of Mitchell; a brother Dan Bollack of Minneapolis, MN and his wife Diane; one sister Becky Warnke of New Prague, MN and her husband Paul; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1996, her father in 2009 and a brother Roger in 2012.
