Janette Ann Wermers, daughter of Albert and Mary (Thill) Metzger, was born February 25, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, SD. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Mitchell, SD. Janette was united in marriage with Alvin Wermers on November 15, 1952.

Janette was a bookkeeper for Whetstine Plumbing and Heating and Merriman Oil Company and occasionally did food demos at the grocery store. You may have seen her helping Alvin put bread on the shelves in the grocery stores. Janette and Alvin lived their life together as one no matter what the adventure would be. She loved and cared for her family. Janette enjoyed being with family and friends.

Blessed to have shared her life are a daughter, Cindee (Richard) Westendorf; her grandchildren, Richard Jr. (Nichol) Westendorf, Mike Westendorf, Mat (Dava) Wermers and Tracie Wermers; brothers-in-law, Bob Wermers, Don (Verla) Wermers and Del Wilson; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin Wermers; a son, Randy Wermers; a grandson, Christopher Wermers; and a sister, Jean (Metzger) Wilson.

Cherished memories of her laughter, smiles and spirit will always remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
