James Schuster, 63, of Rapid City died Friday, November 3, 2006 at his home. Jim grew up in Mitchell, SD. He attended Mitchell High School and graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University. He worked his way through college at KORN TV and radio. He loved to fly and was always willing to take somebody for a ride. He met and married Verla Radke in Sioux Falls and they were married on October 23, 1971. To this union one son Timothy James was born. They moved to Rapid City in 1979 where he worked for Motorola Radio and GE Radio. The family moved to Custer in 1987 where Jim was Vice President of First Federal Savings and Loan. He later was a loan officer with Green Tree financial. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, hiking in Custer State Park and Bicycling. He was a friend to many. He is survived by his father, Gene Schuster of Mitchell, Verla Schuster of Rapid City, one son Tim Schuster and his wife Geri of Box Elder, one brother, Gary Schuster and his wife Renee of Sioux Falls, and four grandchildren, Chance Buzaisky, Tyson Schuster, James Schuster and Preston Schuster. He was preceded in death by an infant sister. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City. Services will be at 1pm on Tuesday, November 7 at Kirk Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Menefee officiating. A second service will be at 2pm on Wednesday, November 8 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the services at the Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell.
